The Role of Plants in the Fight Against Climate Change

Elementary, Middle

Description

The video effectively illustrates the many important roles plant play in supporting life on earth.  Students are introduced to "photosynthesis" and are guided step by step through a hands-on experiment to demonstrate several elements of the process. The video emphasizes the benefits provided by plants and touches on some of the ways cities are using green spaces to reduce pollution and mitigate the effects of climate change.

The website provides a quiz consisting of four questions that can be completed after viewing to assess student learning.
