The Crabtivating Quiz Show

Secondary, Middle

Description

During this activity students learn about the European green crab and its impact. After completion of a short interactive e-Learning course, students participate in an online quiz to demonstrate what they have learned about the green crab, invasive species and why we should care about them.

General Assessment

Strengths

  • The resource offers a wide range of additional links and background knowledge
  • Students will enjoy the games and activities.

Recommendation of how and where to use it

In science classes these  engaging activities will help demonstrate how the unique adaptations of many species effect interactions in an ecosystem. It also supports units describing invasive species and how interactions between human activity and the environment impacts the sustainability of local ecosystems.
