Our Home, the Planet Earth is the first of ten episodes that aim to teach students more about climate change and positively influence their lifestyle to help reduce greenhouse gas production and limit climate change.
In this episode, students will be introduced to climate change from a scientific point of view. They will be presented with the components of our terrestrial system, and how climate change influences this system. They will explore the atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere, as well as how they interact and maintain life on Earth. They will see how this balance is disturbed by the rise of temperatures.
This short video could be used as part of an introduction for any discussion on climate change. It is short yet visually stunning and will undoubtedly trigger strong responses from the students. Included with this video is a bonus experiment to try at home or at school and a short quiz so students can test their knowledge about the episode.
