Appropriate for very young children, this book encourages young people to appreciate nature using their five senses.  Using descriptive words and cut-out pictures the book illustrates bugs, frogs, stars and many other things that a child can see outside.

This book could be used as an introduction to a nature unit and would be a good precursor to a walk outside to explore.  The book would also support a class field trip to a natural area.  After reading the book students could journal about their own experiences with things they have found in nature.  The book also supports helping students learn about and identify their 5 senses.
