Assess Your Habitat’s Health

Secondary, Middle

Description

After reviewing the concept of an ecozone, students are provided with a template for researching and assessing the overall health of their own ecozones. After completing an analysis of their findings, students prescribe “treatments” to cure any negative “symptoms” they have identified.

General Assessment

Recommendation of how and where to use it

The resource will help students explore the impact of human development on their local environment.  It can serve as a tool for introducing the effect of climate change on ecosystems in science and biology lessons.
