  • In part one, musician, Holly Arntzen introduces the reader to the creatures, conditions and concerns that inspired her songs that accompany the resource on CD.
  • Part two is a coastal primer for the field-trips the writers feel are essential to cherishing and understanding the Salish Sea.
  • Part three consists of science and social studies lessons that are cross-referenced to the songs in part one.
  • Part four consists of extension ideas, further references and links.
  • The resource includes beautiful black and white illustrations to help with teaching the concepts. Interesting background information is provided in the teachers notes section.
  • The Salish Sea extends from Campbell River to Olympia in British Columbia.
