A New Way to Recycle Plastics

Secondary, Middle

Description

Did you know only nine percent of plastic waste is recycled? This video explains BioCellection’s alternative solution to recycling plastic. This company’s innovative technology aims to reduce plastic waste by breaking down unrecyclable plastics into chemical components and converts them into new material to create new products.

General Assessment

Recommendation of how and where to use it

The video would be very useful as an introduction to a 3R case study for units that focus on resource use and waste management. The video may also be relevant for chemistry units, which aim to explore the different chemical components and how we can break them down for reuse.
